From October 4 the library will be open from 9.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and 11.30am till 4.30pm on Saturday! See our Libguide for information on booking a study space in the English Library here. Welcome back to the EFL!

The English Faculty Library will be closed on Monday 30 August for the summer bank holiday. The library will reopen at 9.30  am on Tuesday 31 August.

The English Faculty Library is currently closed to support staff annual leave. The library inbox will not be monitored during this period, and there will be no access to the physical collection. Please return any books you don’t need to the Library before heading off for the summer break! Starting on 22 May, we’re going to be open 9.30am – 12pm and 1-4pm on Saturdays for study space and browsing. Booking still required, so please reserve your space in the usual way!

You can now book a quick visit to the English Faculty Library – perfect to borrow or return books and DVDs, or browse the collection. You’ll need to book online to reserve your place, but there’s plenty of availability throughout each weekday. The shelves have missed you… or something like that!

The library will be closed from April 2nd-April 5th inclusive for the Easter Bank Holiday. All services, including Click & Collect and study space reservations will be available again from April 6th.

From Tuesday 9th March, you’ll be able to reserve a study space in the library on weekday afternoons, from 1pm to 4pm.
