Starting on 22 May, we’re going to be open 9.30am – 12pm and 1-4pm on Saturdays for study space and browsing. Booking still required, so please reserve your space in the usual way!

You can now book a quick visit to the English Faculty Library – perfect to borrow or return books and DVDs, or browse the collection. You’ll need to book online to reserve your place, but there’s plenty of availability throughout each weekday. The shelves have missed you… or something like that!

The library will be closed from April 2nd-April 5th inclusive for the Easter Bank Holiday. All services, including Click & Collect and study space reservations will be available again from April 6th.

From Tuesday 9th March, you’ll be able to reserve a study space in the library on weekday afternoons, from 1pm to 4pm. The English Faculty Library will now be closed on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th December owing to staff shortages. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will be open again from 10am on Wednesday 16th December.

Any Short Loan books borrowed from today [Tuesday 1st December] will be due back after the vacation on 22nd January. The University Library has now reopened on a limited basis and is offering three ‘zero contact’ services: Click & Collect, Scan & Deliver, and book returns. This is part of a phased reopening.
