Sin resides in the city where a Woman from the City (Margaret Livingston) manages to seduce and enchant a Man (George O’Brien) when he visits the metropolis. The Man, named Anses, is simple and has a kind-hearted Wife (Janet Gaynor) named Indre, but the attraction of the city woman is such that she convinces him to murder his wife and move to the city. He decides to take her for a boat ride and drown her, but has a change-of-heart when he realizes how lucky he is to have the woman he married. His evil thoughts give him a change of attitude as he enjoys the simple things with his wife, like a walk or a dance. Yet, fate takes a hand when he least wants it. |
