Reese (Steve McQueen) joins a battle-weary squad of soldiers as part of a platoon ordered to hold a lonely sector on the Ziegfried Line in WWII. The squad, including Sgt. Pike (Fess Parker), Sgt. Larkin (Harry Guardino), Cpl. Henshaw (James Coburn), and Pvt. Colby (Bobby Darin), must come up with numerous ruses to convince the Germans that they are part of a much larger force or else a counterattack will destroy them all. |
