Like Water for Chocolate is a moving film that is part fairytale and all romance. You follow the life of Tita (Lumi Cavazos) and her sisters Rosaura (Yareli Arazmendi) and Gertrudis (Claudette Maille) as they are raised under the watchful eye of Mama Elena (Regina Torne). As the youngest daughter Tita is bound by family tradition and must care for her mother until death. Tita finds a way to express emotions using food as her outlet and her talent for infusing food with emotion often leads to havoc. Tita struggles to make peace with herself, her sisters and Mama Elena in this tale of love lost, courage gained and destiny fulfilled.
