Richard of Gloucester (Laurence Olivier) has used his military leadership to assure his brother Edward (Cedric Hardwicke) wins the throne of England. But this is not the end to his master plan. He decides that he wants the crown and the throne for himself and will stop at nothing to get this. He kills anyone in his way be it family or friends. Even the young princess is not out of his reach. Just when it seems that Richard might obtain his goal, Edward rally’s an army to challenge his brother. The two armies meet on the famous Bosworth Field. Now, all of England waits to see who will be their ruler.
