When African-American TV writer Pierre Delacroix (Damon Wayans) is unable to get any of the network executives to greenlight any of his attempts to intelligently portray blacks, the disgruntled writer writes a program that's a copy of 19th century minstrel shows as a satire on their mentality. But to his shock, the idea sells and becomes a big hit, even ensnaring top black thespians in racist roles such as Mantan (Savion Glover) and Sleep'n Eat (Tommy Davidson). |
